POLYGON
With a focus on natural systems, I hand-mold fractal shapes in clay in a process that involves tension and fragility. Paying particular attention to the rhythms and patterns inherent in nature, my work references the delicate balance required to sustain these systems. I am fascinated by ecology, science, and the alchemic principle that a solid can exist as more than one form or structure. I reference the behavior of molecules, which naturally accumulate and congregate to form geodesic patterns — both large and small.
